Intro
There’s a place in the north of Europe where the light dances between gold and blue.
Sápmi, Living Landscapes captures that atmosphere on paper, printed by INNI group on Munken Lynx Rough. The uncoated, highly tactile surface and the natural white shade of the paper give the images their full depth and reinforce the connection to nature.
A tribute to light, nature and the Scandinavian spirit of friluftsliv.
Through its distinctive design — alternating longer and shorter pages — the reader experiences two worlds within one book: turn one way and you travel through a warm, golden landscape; the other reveals a cool, blue exploration.
Technically, the project required perfect precision in cutting and registration to align every visual transition flawlessly.
The choice of Munken Lynx Rough, an uncoated, naturally white paper with a rich tactile feel, enhances the purity of the imagery and makes the landscape itself almost tangible.
Created in collaboration with die Keure Printing and Arctic Paper Benelux, this project exemplifies how craftsmanship, design and material can merge into one sensory experience.
A book that captures not only the northern light, but also the essence of true print: slow, tangible and timeless.
